Growth of a Company not only depends upon the efforts made by Directors, management and employees but also upon the environment under which it carries out its commercial activities. It is the moral duty of the Company to contribute something for the development of needy, poor and weaker section of society. Sustainable development and development for all are the two mantras of effective Corporate Social Responsibility.

Regency Hospital Ltd. also works on abovementioned principles not only in letter but in spirit. We belong to the healthcare sector and serving the society by providing the world class specialist treatment through our hospitals at Kanpur and nearby areas. However, we still feels that our contribution are not ample enough to serve the demand of best healthcare services in the area of our operations and are endeavoring our best to expand the operations in order to bridge the demand and supply gap in healthcare industry.

AMRITA CHARITABLE TRUST has been set up by the Whole-time Directors of the Company for promoting education, including special education and employment enhancing vocation skills among children under the guidance of qualified, experienced and professional doctors. AMRITA CHARITABLE TRUST is a non-profit Organization registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 and provide services to those children having delay in various areas of development like motor, language, activities of daily living, interpersonal skills, functional academics and vocational training.


Company shall constitute Corporate Social Responsibility Committee (CSR Committee) as per Companies Act, 2013 and other applicable provisions, if any, of any other act, as may be applicable, for the time being in force. CSR Committee is responsible for overall supervision of CSR activities as may be carried out by the AMRITA CHARITABLE TRUST.

CSR Committee shall formulate quarterly budget in respect of CSR projects or programs or activities. CSR expenditure shall include all expenditure including contribution to corpus, or on projects relating to CSR approved by the Board on the recommendation of committee, but does not include any expenditure on an item not in conformity or not in line with activities which fall within the purview of approved activities. CSR committee shall monitor that Company shall spend at least 2 % of the average net profit of the Company made during the three immediately preceding financial years.


AMRITA CHARITABLE TRUST shall provide the following services:

  • Helps in acquiring pre-reading and writing skills,

2. Psychological evaluation and intervention
  • IQ testing,
  • Psychological consultation,
  • Behavior management,
  • Home based programme,
  • Counseling,
  • Parents training

3. Occupational therapy
  • For sensory integration,
  • For cognitive stimulation,
  • For oro-motor stimulation,
  • For hand and fine motor therapy,
  • For eye-hand coordination,
  • To facilitate desired activities and play

4. Physiotherapy
  • For strengthening of weak muscles which helps in performing daily tasks,
  • For stretching of spastic muscles,
  • For exercise and training of desired motor movements like walking, running etc.
  • For balancing
  • For gait training

5. Speech therapy
  • To facilitates respective and expressive language skills,
  • To develop communication skills through gestures, vocalization and sign language
  • To train through technological tools like –pad, communication board etc.


CSR Committee shall also institute a transparent monitoring mechanism for implementation of CSR projects or programs or activities undertaken by AMRITA. CSR committee shall report to the Board of Directors about the formulation, implementation, execution and progress of CSR projects or programs or activities on quarterly basis.

Smile Train

Incidence of cleft lip and cleft palate is very high in Northern India. As a part of co-corporate social responsibility we have become an integral part of Smile Train.

Smile Train is the world's largest cleft lip and palate charity, the overriding goal of it is make safe and quality treatment of cleft lip and palate accessible to the millions who cannot afford it.

Each year we serves around 600 underprivileged cleft lip and cleft palate patient and till now we have served around 3000 patients and are willing to serve more smiles.

In our hospital these surgeries are performed by specialized surgeons Dr. S. K Gulati and Dr. Nandini R.

Free Pacemaker Bank

Regency hospital has honour of having only Pacemaker Bank in UP since last 10 years. This unique and several award winning philanthropic project is run with the help of Rotary Club of Kanpur Greater. Initially funded by International Heart Beat USA and now totally self financed, the prject has helped more than 60 pacemaker implantations in very poor people of our society across Uttar Pradesh. Regency hospital provides all the infrastructure to these patients and Dr. Harsh Agarwal, Medical Director of the bank provides all the needed skill for implantations.

The Organization organizes various free health checkup camps, time to time. 30% discount is given for the treatment to Society for Prevention & Awareness of Diabetes (SPAD) & to the children of spastic centre.
